A brief biography

Soil Scientist with experience in soil health, soil fertility management, use of isotopic techniques, fertilizer-lime recommendations for crop production, land use evaluation and pedology. Have great interest soil ecology, soil health, natural resources management, legume based innovations, micronutrient management and climate change issues related to food security. Contributing to options for improving P management in smallholder farming systems of the sub-Saharan Africa where yields are most limited by both nitrogen (N) and P deficiencies is my passion. Have published twenty-nine scientific papers, four book chapters and three internal technical papers. A mentor for upcoming researcher and students in agriculture. A member of Soil Fertility Consortium for Southern Africa (SOFECSA) where soil improving innovations are key for changing livelihoods of smallholder farmers.
