
Professor Mpofu- Hamadziripi is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics with a PhD in Linguistics
                    from the University of Oslo, Norway. She has over 26 years of experience in university teaching, training,
                    research and administration. Professor Mpofu-Hamadziripi has been the substantive Director of the
                    Teaching and Learning Institute at Marondera University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology since
                    July 2021. Prior to joining MUAST, she was the Director of the Academy of Teaching and Learning at
                    Chinhoyi University of Technology (April 2011 – December 2019) and a Research Fellow at the University
                    of Zimbabwe (April 2000 – March 2011). Professor Mpofu-Hamadziripi has over 35 publications in the form
                    of books, dictionaries, journal papers and book chapters. She is an active collaborative researcher who
                    has been awarded several externally funded research grants.
                    Professor Mpofu-Hamadziripi is the Deputy Chairperson of the Kushinga Phikelela Agricultural College
                    Advisory Board and a Fellow of the Zimbabwe Academy of Sciences - College of Social Sciences. She was
                    recently appointed a Research Lead Consultant for the Southern African Regional Universities Association
                    (SARUA) Project titled, Exploring the incentives for and barriers to conducting societally impactful
                    research in the Southern African Development Community, July 2024 – May 2025. In addition, she is an
                    Honorary Research Professor in the National Languages Institute of the Midlands State University. She is
                    also a trained peer reviewer for the Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE).
